Your secondprime

You spent years as an athlete. Then came the job, the kids, the shoulder that never quite healed. I coach former athletes back to the strength they remember, with programming built for the body you have now.

01The gap

Most programs are written for beginners or for pros. You are neither.

You already know how to work hard. That was never the problem.

You know what a real training session feels like. You have been coached before, you have pushed through two a days, and you remember exactly what your body used to do.

What you do not have is a plan that respects all of that and still accounts for the forty hour week, the sleep you are not getting, and the knee that talks to you on stairs.

So you either train like you are twenty two and get hurt, or you follow something generic, get bored, and stop. Both roads end in the same place.

There is a third option. It starts with someone who actually looks at where you are right now, then builds forward from there.

The first session is an assessment, not a workout

I need to see how you move before I decide what you lift. Where the old injury actually limits you, which side compensates, what your hips and shoulders will let you do today.

That hour is what makes the next twelve weeks worth doing. Everything in your program traces back to something I watched you do in it.

02The process

How it actually works

Four steps, in order. No membership to cancel, no app you use alone.

Step 01

Apply

A short application so I know your history, your injuries, and what you are actually chasing. I read every one.

Step 02

Assessment

We talk through your training history and I put you through an in depth movement and strength analysis. This is where the plan comes from.

Step 03

Your plan

A program written for your body, your schedule, and your equipment. Progressions mapped out, not guessed at week to week.

Step 04

Coaching

Weekly check ins, form corrections, eating habits, and progress checks. The plan changes as you do.

03The record

46 reviews. Every one of them five stars.

These are the topics clients bring up on their own, counted across every Google review.

I came to Nate as a busy professional who had let my fitness slide, and three months in I’m already pushing up against the PRs I hit as a college athlete.

—Clients

Who I work with

People who used
to be athletes

If you have ever been coached, ever had a season, ever known what it felt like to be in shape on purpose, we speak the same language. That is the room I built this for.

—The room
Nate with a group of clients after a training session
Small group session, San Diego

Nobody here is trying to be twenty two again

The people I train have jobs, kids, and a history. What they share is that they all know what it felt like to be capable, and they are not willing to call that over.

That makes for a specific kind of room. Nobody is posturing, everybody is working, and the standard is quietly high.

01Profiles

Six people I see most

Profile A

The former athlete

You played through high school or college. The structure disappeared with the season and nothing replaced it. You want the standard back, not a hobby.

“Three months in I’m already pushing up against the PRs I hit as a college athlete.” Google review, Mason

Profile B

The busy professional

Career first, fitness whenever. You have three or four hours a week, not ten, and you need every one of them to count toward something.

“I came to Nate as a busy professional who had let my fitness slide.” Google review, Mason

Profile C

The one training around something

A shoulder, a back, a knee, a surgery. You have been told to be careful so many times you stopped training hard at all. We work around it, not away from it.

“Customizing your training plan to your needs and goals.” Google review, Hailey

Profile D

The nervous starter

You have never been coached and the weight room feels like somebody else’s room. You will learn how to lift properly before we ever chase a number.

“I was super nervous about starting personal training but Nate was very encouraging.” Google review, Jacob

Profile E

The stalled lifter

You train consistently and nothing has moved in a year. Usually this is a programming problem, not an effort problem.

“Knowledgeable, professional, & goal oriented.” Google review, Logan

Profile F

The pair

You and a partner, a sibling, or two friends who will only stay consistent if somebody else is counting on you being there.

“Training with him was not only sweat oriented it was fun!” Google review, Logan

02Fit

This works. It does not work for everyone.

I take a limited number of clients so every program gets written properly. Being honest about fit protects both of us.

✓A good fit if
  • You can commit to two days or three sessions a week for at least three months
  • You want to understand why you are doing something, not just be told to do it
  • You are willing to change how you eat, at least a little
  • You would rather build something that lasts than chase a six week transformation
  • You are coachable on form even when it means going lighter first
×Not a fit if
  • You want a plan emailed to you with nobody checking whether you run it
  • You are looking for the cheapest hour in San Diego
  • You want extreme cuts, crash diets, or anything that ends in a rebound
  • You are hoping to be motivated rather than coached
  • You want results without changing your sleep, food, or schedule at all

Not sure which
one you are?

Book a call and I will tell you. Or take the assessment first, and it will tell you which track to start on.

01Included

Everything lives
in one app

Your program, your check ins, your form videos, and your progress are all in the same place. You open it, you know exactly what to do that day, and I can see whether you did it.

  • Weekly accountability check ins. A real conversation every week about what worked, what hurt, and what changes.
  • Form corrections. You film the lift, I review it and send back the fix. This is the part most online programs skip.
  • Eating habits. Guidance built around how you actually eat, not a meal plan you will abandon by Thursday.
  • Workout progressions. The program moves forward on a plan, so you are not repeating the same three weeks forever.
  • Progress checks. Numbers, photos, and lifts tracked over time so improvement is visible even in the slow months.
—Your gym

Built around the equipment you actually have

Your program fits your gym

Before anything is written I ask what you have access to. A full rack and a turf lane, or two dumbbells and a bench in a garage. Both work. The plan just has to be honest about which one you are walking into.

Same for your week. If you get three days, the program is built for three, and every exercise in it has to earn the slot.

—About

Nate Eschleman, CSCS

I have been
in the room
my whole life

Organized sports from age five through college football. Five years coaching other people since. The weight room has never not been part of my week.

Nate Eschleman
01The why

Having someone
alongside you
beats going
through it alone.

That sentence is the entire reason I coach. I had coaches my whole athletic life, and the difference between a season with a good one and a season without was never small.

When football ended, I watched teammates lose the only structure they had ever trained inside of. Some of them never got it back. That is a specific kind of loss and most gyms have no answer for it.

So I work with the people who are on the other side of that. My job is not to motivate you. You already know how to work. My job is to build the plan, watch the reps, catch the thing you cannot see, and make sure the next twelve weeks add up to something.

Beyond that, I want fitness to bring people together. The community side of this is not a marketing line. It is why the group sessions exist.

I am also running the same play I ask clients to run. I am working through a hundred day series I call Reclaiming My Prime, chasing a 405 back squat, and documenting every session. If I am going to ask you to log the hard days, I should be logging mine.

03Off the clock

I practice what
I program

Most of my summer weekends go to downhill mountain bike competitions around California. The rest of the time I am riding trails around San Diego or at the beach with friends.

It matters for a practical reason. Racing downhill needs the exact qualities I coach: strength you can produce fast, joints that tolerate load, and the conditioning to do it again on the next run. I am not writing programs from a textbook.

Taking care of my own health first is what makes me useful to anybody else’s.
